Nothing is beyond Allah SWT. If He wills to give provisions to His house, He will make it happen.

Last Sunday we had our 8th annual fundraising dinner to raise funds to complete the SNMC Masjid and Centre.

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah SWT, we collected $157,000.

So, we've launched this online appeal from now until next Monday with a simple target:

To reach 120 online donors to donate $25

Even if you have already donated, please still consider giving at least one Sadaqah Seed. We've made it a very small amount so that everyone can take part.

And if you are able to donate multiple Sadaqah Seeds, please do; your reward will be with Allah SWT.

Just friendly reminders that:

The prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him- said: He who built a masjid (a mosque) for Allah, Allah would build for him a house in Paradise.

And he -peace be upon him- also said: The wealth of a person will not diminish by Sadaqah (charity).

Welcome to SNMC's Annual Fundraiser

Moving in to New Masjid and Centre this Fall!

After almost 8 years of efforts and with more than 6 million dollars raised and spent, we are almost there!

In fact, this fall, in the October/November timeframe, Barrhaven's Masjid and Centre will be ready insha'a Allah.

And there's no time to waste

Accordingly, we're having a fundraising dinner on Sunday June 15th, 2014 at the Centurion Hall, 170 Colonnade Rd, Ottawa, Ontario.

And right here is where we're having the online fundraising campaign.

Did you know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

'Whoever starts a good deed and is followed by others, will have his own reward and a reward equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their reward in any way."

Brief Overview of Project

Future Masjid and Community Center Project Features

• 750 prayer space for brothers & sisters,
• 400 person community hall for 2 parallel events with 2 kitchenettes, and
• Indoor youth sports facility, Basket ball & soccer, hockey and fitness area, Library and class rooms.

Masjid and Center Project Objectives

• To foster Islamic spirit of peace and brotherhood by providing an environment where people of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds come together, meet and exchange their views
• To raise awareness of the existence of the South Nepean Muslim Community working towards building a full-time center in the future
• To build a place of worship for the local Muslim community
• To build a community centre for youths of the community
• To make South Nepean a stronger and more vibrant community by organizing events that promote harmony, and increase understanding of each other
