Masjid Bilal is in its final push to raise the remaining $80,000 to be debt free. This amount is definitely within arm’s reach. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for showing your immense support to Masjid Bilal. May Allah (SWT) reward you greatly.

Our aim is to collect the remaining Qard-e-Hasna (interest free loan) by December 31, InshaAllah.

Please note that we are organizing a Fundraising Drive on Saturday November 29 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Masjid Bilal. We have invited the Ottawa/Gatineau Imams as our special guests for this program. You are kindly requested to please attend this program along with your family and friends. Paying off the remaining Qard-e-Hasna (interest free loan)

Check out this piece of the property we purchased in the picture above and see how close it is to Masjid Bilal! In order to secure this property back in October 2013, we had to take out a $357,000 interest-free loan. Alhamdulillah, we're down to $185,000.

In order to accommodate more parking we have removed the house structure on the adjacent property (4499 Innes Rd) and both lots have been merged into a bigger, well needed parking area. This is definitely progress in the right direction. We have also applied to the City of Ottawa to change its zoning from residential to formal parking and any other future use.

Closed the deal!

We are happy to announce that Alhamdulillah by means of Qard-e-Hasna (interest free loan) and donations we have collected the required funds to close the deal on purchasing the property next door at 4499 Innes Rd for $500,000! This is the same property that the Masjid has been trying to purchase since 1997 in order to maximize the space for formal parking and any other future use. It is all by the grace of Allah SWT and with your duas that this dream has finally become a reality. The final tally on the amount that we collected is as follows:

Qard-e-Hasna: $357,000

Donations: $150,000.

Our next steps would be to keep the fundraising activities and efforts ongoing so as to repay the Qard-e-Hasna (interest free loan) of $357,000.

We are humbly requesting that you donate generously so that we can pay the required amount to complete the financial transaction on the closing date of 8 November 2013. Rest assured that your donation will benefit you in this dunya before the hereafter.
